Signs of Hope International

Volunteers in the oversees programs will spend 7-9 weeks at a school for the Deaf in Ghana. While in Ghana, volunteers spend time teaching a range of subjects from math to reading to basic colors and ABC's. We accept applications from those knowledgeable in American Sign Language. Skill level is important, and we will try to find positions for volunteers at all skill levels. Our volunteers spend time at the schools as well as enjoying cultural activities and sites of the country. Our volunteers have the opportunity to give children a future by educating them now. Volunteers will assist in current projects and help establish new projects as needed by the school. Volunteers will be instrumental in helping to overcome decades of social stigma and will help to instill a sense of worth in the students and teachers they work hand-in-hand with. As a volunteer you will be changed as you change and lift others.
