ABOUT US

In the small African village of Adomorobe, deaf children wander the streets with no hope for a future, parents plagued by feelings of hopelessness, deaf schools overwhelmed by need. Each is the reason for Signs of Hope International. Formed in 2004, Signs of Hope International has become a means of HOPE for the deaf community in Africa.

We have piloted and implemented several programs within Deaf schools in Ghana, West Africa since our beginning, giving us notoriety and established our name for good throughout the Deaf community.

Our programs including the teacher incentive programs for the learning of sign language, pennies for playgrounds fund, internet café at the senior secondary school, a successful volunteer intern program, and the student sponsorship program. Each program is designed to benefit and inspire the students.

In the diary of Anne Frank it reads, "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." This statement has been adopted by Signs of Hope International as we seek to improve the life and future of these deaf students.

What is a child's future worth? What deaf child do we leave behind? What could these children become with our help? We are working to find answers to these questions. We are committed to bringing hope to these deaf students' futures. We offer many opportunities and ways for people to get involved; with your help we can continue to bring the light of change to more in need.
